  1. Shartarka,
This is one of my favorite web sites! Someone mentioned to me yesterday that the NAEYC was feeling the effects of the government shut down - did you notice anything unusual on their site? The person I was speaking with is a rep for their National CDA Program.

  2. Shartarka, thank you for providing this link. I thought it was interesting that the NAEYC Governing Board suspended the current Global Alliance application process for a period of six months beginning October 2012, in order to review existing procedures. I am curious to know about feedback from current Alliance members, and what changes in procedures this may have brought. -Susan

  4. Maria,
Yes this is my favorite website also. The government funding has not hit us yet, but it has hit our scholarships and Child Care Service Association that help teacher to pursue their education and going back to school, the name of them are T.E.A.C.H. and WAGES program so two of my best friends works for them programs and both
are single parents like me and I like this is affect them. I just apply for a position for T.E.A.C.H so it was not meant for me to get this position at that time. I talk to my boos and I work for the Early Head Start program and we are good to December but If this government shut down keeps going on in December we are in trouble but the the program WIC already I am like what in the world. It is so scary.... we just have to pray that it gets better.

  6. Shartarka, Thanks for sharing. This is a great organization that is serving children and families. I like that they have outside links to NAEYC. The Global Alliance seems to share some of the same values as NAEYC which is great!
