Week 7 Blog Assignment: Getting to Know International Contacts 3

The three insights I have gained from the UNESCO's Early Childhood Care and Education is
this website helps to support early childhood policy development to build a solid foundation for a
child's lifelong learning. The second insights I have gained is learning of the high quality childcare.
In high quality childcare is for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, promotes motivation,
confidence, good cognitive and linguistic development and school readiness. School readiness promotes physical, cognitive, social/emotional,  literacy and language, and approaches of learning.
The third insights I have gained is the curriculum in early childhood care and education. The curriculum
helps the program standards for parents to understand child/staff ratios, educator qualification, and indoor and outdoor learning environments. Children learn best within positive relationships-with
their parents and families, with their peers and with well-trained early childhood educators. These are the insights I have gained from the UNESCO's Early Childhood Care and Education. The website is

  1. Shartarka,
Thank you for sharing about UNESCO. I can wait to look at their site and see their outreach. We need organizations that reach out to countries around the world that have desperate needs with children and families. Resources for families are so important and this organization supports parents in a special way.
    Thanks! Maria

  3. Shartarka, thank you for sharing the insights you gained. The UNESCO website has many facets that are worth exploring. I had not realized that 196 countries are members. The section of the site on Intangible Cultural Heritage, or "living heritage", was interesting reading, with beautiful photos that depict cultures around the world. -Susan
