Blog Assignments:Jobs/Roles In the ECE Community: National/Federal Level

The three national/ federal organizations that appealed to me are the Early and the Head Start

programs, and the NAEYC the Nation Association for the Education for Young Children

and the Zero to Three : National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families.  These organizations

appeal to me because of the these organization help families with children in early childhood

education. These organizations provide resources for teachers, parents, children, and families

for high quality childcare centers. At this time there are no job opportunities that are available

but the Early Head Start Family Service Coordinator  manger notify me that a job position would

will come available if they pass this grant of next year for two Family Service Coordinator and

if I am interested that he would let me know and I should apply. The qualification for this job is

you  have at least one year experience working with Early Head Start and their families a year

and a Bachelor’s degree related to early childhood education. If they pass this grant than I will

Blog Assignment: Exploring Roles in the ECE Community: Local and State Levels

The three local or state organizations or communities of practice that appealed to me is

the Durham Partnership for children www.dpfc.net, is a non-profit organization is to

make sure children and families have the resources they need. They focus on early

childhood education to make sure children are healthy, early intervention, and family

support.  The state and national resources they have are National Association for the

Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the NC Division of Child Development,

and the Zero to three. The second organization is the Child Care Service Association

www.childcareservices.org is a non-profit organization that ensure affordable in high

quality childcare. This resource provide child care subsidy resources and information

available to families, it advocate for increased child care subsidy for families locally,

statewide and nationally. The third organization is the Durham Early and Head Start

program www.chtop.org is to help low income families with home-based , health, mental,

and nutrition services for child and family and services for children with disabilities.

At this present time they are not any job opportunities but I was told from a Early Head

Start director that they suppose to get some more funding for the Early Head Start

program which means some more high quality childcare would be in partnership with

the program which mean more job opportunities of home base service, Family Service

Coordination. I have been looking and I will continue to strive for excellence in early

childhood education.
