The three international organizations or communities of
practice that appealed to me is
the United Nation’s Children Fund, Save the Children, and
the Academy Educational
Development. The United Nation’s Children fund helps with
children and families with
Child Survival and development, HIV/AIDS, and Children and
Policy Advocacy and Partnership. The Save the Children is a program that you
can sponsor a child around the
world of help a child to have early education, to help them
to be healthy and to save children
lives. The Educational Development is to improve human lives
and the community. They also respect diversity and cultural differences. At
this present moment there is not a job
that has interest me. They have a lot of teacher position
open but nothing higher than a teacher position open. I be on the computer looking
everyday. I been a teacher in the Early Head Start program for four years and have
the experience of sixteen years so I will keep looking.
The United Nation’s Children Fund, and Save the Children were two of the organizations that I took interest in as well. I think that it is important to fight for children's rights. I believe every child deserves a equal chance in education and with life. Although there is not a job that interest you right now keep pushing until you find that one you really want. With all of your experience in the field as a head start teacher, you have the skills to take on any position. Good Luck on your continued search, I wish you well.
ReplyDeleteShartarka,
ReplyDeleteSave the Children was one of the ones that I chose as well. I really like the organization and the research that I did. The Educational Development is one that I did not research but I will look into it for possible openings. Thank you for sharing.
Save the Children is an organization that I believe any early childhood professional would love. Save the Children has a sector of their organization where they help children who has been affected by disasters. Not many organizations take that initiative to help other countries who lost everything. When I first my ECE program Save the Children was always a source I used when discussing positive change for children. Thanks for a refresher and a reminder that this organization is still creating change in the lives of children!!!
